She began painting after work, then taking classes with artists she admired. Her medium is oil, she loves the texture & forgiving nature of it. Patricia became interested in PleinAir sometime ago, & immediately signed up for the PleinAir class in Woodland Park deciding to take her art outdoors! Eventually she pursued acrylic painting and later found her calling as an oil painter. Michelle is an active member of the Woodland Park Art Community and has received several commissions, including a cowboy portrait of Lloyd Maynard Larsen on his horse, a series of paintings of the national forest Fossil Beds National Monument and a mural of a historical California scene.
