PPPAP member, Bridget O'Hara has found an opportunity for members to rally round their easels for our first paint out of the spring. Membert will gather on Tuesday, 5/6 at 9:00 a Happy Meadows. 24 West, go through Lake George.
Just West of Lake George, turn right (N), the only way you can turn, on Park Co 77.
There is a large pull off there where we can meet up and continue together.
If you're late to the gathering, follow the directions below to locate members painting:
Proceed 1.3 miles to Park Co 112. Turn right, the only way you can turn.
Take right hand fork . You'll see where the river is snaking through.
It's 2 miles back before the road becomes private.
There are pull offs all along the way.
There are 3-4 restroom facilities.
Participating members of the Pikes Peak Plain Air Painters group will be featured in the June Issue of PleinAir Magazine. The group is promoting their sponsorship of the summer's Peak Art Adventure PleinAir Event & Competition. This is the 3rd annual event and PPPAP will be hosting Destination Art paint-outs during the event. Check out the event notice below, the QR code will get you to the information and sign-up site.
PPPAP is proud to announce that the group will partner again this year with Destination Art Pikes Peak and Reserve Our Gallery for the local PleinAir event and competition. Members will be leading various local Destination opportunities to get the best landscapes, which are known only to locals. The PleinAir portion of the event will happen between July 23 through August 6. Check back for updates on events & activities available to all artists. Various professional artists from PPPAP will be offering classes and workshops for plein air in preparation for this summer's Peak Art Adventure. Check back to see the offerings as they become available and for links to register. All classes will be held in the Woodland Park/Teller County area partnering with Destination Art School!
